Ego is the de
facto religion of everyone today it has imposed death on mankind.
Hello my name is Nector Maris and today’s speech is
the english version of Thomas’s speech on Ego and how it has become the
religion of everyone today and unbeknownst to us has forced death upon us.
Ego is a large trap. It is the biggest (largest)
beast. We know that God mocks the mockers, but he gives
grace to the humble. (proverbs 3:34). He is the reason and the source of all that is bad. He is
the one who brought forth the worries, the crises, the criticisms and the bad
talking. He is the one who divided people into nations, into religions. He
created millions of victims. He is the one that brought many wars to mankind. A
lot of blood has been shed because of ego, and it is strange that today despite man having reached the level of
evolution that he has, ego still remains as the key entity in man’s life. (we can say that it is still the backbone of
man’s existence)
Today this
is our topic, to be able to rid ourselves from him forever so that we may be
able to bring our life in harmony and bring back our relationship to its
original state, to its first love which we had between us and God.
Unfortunately
today my brothers and sisters we all blame each other. Everyone, everywhere, no
matter where they go, talk about others whether it be on a personal or general
level. (There is a plain word we use in english it’s called gossip). Blaming
others has grown within us like an uncontrollable fire. Blaming others works
according to our interests- it fluctuates, sometimes it is great and sometimes
it is reduced but it is always working and with the slightest incident it is
ready to jump out like a spring. It is found in everyone, especially in nations
that blame each other. Even religions blame one another. Even people of the
same faith blame one another. One Christian continually blames the other
because they belong to a different dogma (for example the catholics and the
protestants etc.)
Unfortunately,
everyone finds a way to blame someone else daily and nightly even as they
sleep. Everyone lays blame and the reason being is that everyone’s ego has
exceeded or I would say overfilled their brain. Even though with our lips we
say that we are Christians, we all avoid the one form of wisdom which is love,
righteousness, God’s wisdom, unity etc. Christians have still not understood
that blaming anyone is unacceptable. We are only commanded to give love. This
is the command. But I tell you, love your enemies,
bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those
who mistreat you and persecute you, that
you may be children of your Father who is in heaven. (Matthew 5:44) as well
as, ‘By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if
you have love for one another.’ (John 13:35). Imagine a day that will come where
every one of us will have a good word to say! As well, we Christians must not
lay blame for all the wrong in this world because as Christians having Jesus as
our leader are at fault for all that is going on because in the two thousand
years that have passed, we have yet to become either on a personal or on a
general level, righteousness or even love. We talk about these things yet we
have not become them! We hear Christians often saying to one another ‘you are
the antichrist’ others saying, ‘war is upon us’ others saying, ‘ the global government
is coming’ and no one has understood that we Christians are to blame and the
reason is simple. We do not carry out God’s will, since we know Christ. It
makes a great impression how can Christians who read God’s word, have no
righteousness, have no peace have no happiness, have no Godly wisdom, to be
asking the people with worldly wisdom to behave correctly (in other words they
rely on the secular people of the world to manage and control human destinies)!
We have to understand that we Christians have the world’s responsibility on our shoulders.
Now
knowing Thomas and having asked him this same question. He does not come from
an egotistical perspective. He is not of the mind that Christians are the
better people but he says that Christians have been shown the best way to live.
Christ with His example manifested the superior human state. The state which
will ensure human life. The New Testament and especially the Gospel give a
direction of how we should ultimately behave, what God will give us and entrust
us with once we become this person and what we shall ultimately succeed in if
we follow Him, for example:
It states in Romans 5: Not only this, but we also rejoice in our
sufferings, knowing that suffering produces perseverance;
In Thessalonians 5:13 It states: Be at peace among yourselves. 14 We exhort you, brothers, admonish
the disorderly, encourage the fainthearted, support the weak, be patient toward
all. 15 See that no one returns evil
for evil to anyone, but always follow after that which is good, for one
another, and for all.
16 Rejoice always. 17 Pray
without ceasing. 18 In everything
give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus toward you.
And
then it tells you the tools that God will give you to protect and increase this
life:
7 But to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the profit
of all. 8 For to one is given
through the Spirit the word of wisdom, and to another the word of knowledge,
according to the same Spirit; 9 to
another faith, by the same Spirit; and to another gifts of healings, by the
same Spirit; 10 and to another
workings of miracles; and to another prophecy; and to another discerning of
spirits; to another different kinds of languages; and to another the
interpretation of languages. 11 But
the one and the same Spirit produces all of these, distributing to each one
separately as he desires. (1 Corinthians 12:7-11)
And
onwards it gives us our role model Jesus who achieved this eternal life,
telling us we could do the same:
who saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our
works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given to us in
Christ Jesus before times eternal, 10 but
has now been revealed by the appearing of our Savior, Christ Jesus, who abolished
death, and brought life and immortality to light through the Good News. (2
Timothy 1:9-10)
56 The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. 57 But thanks be to God, who gives us
the victory (meaning immortality) through our Lord Jesus Christ. 58 Therefore, my beloved brothers, be
steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the Lord’s work, because you know
that your labor is not in vain in the Lord. (1Corinthians 15:56-58)
Thomas continues: The truth is that we Christians are
not on the right path and this is why the world is not on the right path. I
meet with people that say, ‘You Thomas, are you Orthodox’ -meaning Greek Orthodox and after a little while the person who has
asked me if I was Orthodox - implying that he himself is Orthodox - starts to
swear, and speak of matters that have no place in the Orthodox religion or to
any religion for that matter thinking that because they have identified
themselves as Orthodox, or Catholic, or Evangelical, they are saved. This
person who asks me if I am Orthodox, thinking that for himself it is already a
given, has no peace, has no happiness, is in poor health, has no friends, sees
everything as being wrong, justifies himself as being the only right one and
with ego he calls himself a Greek, or an Orthodox, or a Catholic. In Romans
14:4 we see Paul saying, Who are you who judge
another’s servant? To his own lord he stands or falls. Yes, he will be made to
stand, for God has power to make him stand and in Romans 2:1 Paul says, Therefore you are without excuse, O man,
whoever you are who judge. For in that which you judge another, you condemn
yourself.
Unfortunately, we Christians are like a pot that boils
and is ready to explode in our home. Glory be to God that regularly puts His
love and a valve in our kettle, and in our lives and allows some steam to blow
off so that there is no explosion. I call
God the the peacemaker and diffuser because He helps us diffuse any negative
energy. It’s unfortunate that today with all the progress that has been
made, that we have yet to understand that our heart and not just our words must be like Christ’s so that our works may
be Christ centered. It is from a person’s works that we can see how much God exists in him. It is written in James 2:24, You see then that by works, a man is justified
and in James 2:17 the apostle says: Show me your faith without works, and I by
my works will show you my faith. Otherwise we know that even the demons
believe in God but in His presence they shudder - they are afraid likewise the
same happens with people who say that they believe in God but they judge when
you tell them not to. These alleged Christians tell us “How is it possible not
to judge, don’t you see what is happening?” If you ask them to give 100 Euros
to someone who does not have, they say, “He is deserving of his fate”. If you
ask someone if they believe god, if they study His word, they say, “it is not necessary,
besides I don’t have time”. Another person says, “ When I take God’s Word in my hands I fall asleep, I can’t read
it” yet if you give this same person a magazine full of gossip, his or her eyes
open to their limit so they could read, to see what is going on. In other words
God granted us life and gave us the manual (which is the New Testament) so that
we may live without problems but people, Christians, don’t want to read these
instructions (of life or the life manual)
and as such we face problems and run right and left to other people in order to
find a solution. They once taught a person living in Africa how to drive a
Jeep, they forgot to tell him though that the vehicle needs gas. The new driver
took the vehicle and went driving into the wilderness where he got stuck
without gas and could not return. We are like this driver, we want to travel
without fuel, we want to live without Christ, without God’s wisdom. We
unfortunately have not understood that within us lies a beast that is called
Ego and he is the reason why we live with feelings of fear, jealousy,
wickedness, anger, criticism etc. All
this creates a shakeup in the blood causing a lack or insufficient blood flow.
With all these emotions, the blood flow affects the cells, and the genes causing
changes in the brain’s biochemical processes to the point where pain, sickness,
decay (or corruption) and death come. When this way of life continues for a
long period of time, death comes. Ego makes you feel great and powerful, that
you are a good Christian, that you are better than others, even if you are so
why should you have pride (ego), have we not read the passage that says, And what do you have that you didn’t receive? But if you did
receive it, why do you boast as if you had not received it? (1 Corinthians
4:7). In another part of the bible, it reveals: Or hasn’t the potter a right over the clay, from the same lump to make
one part a vessel for honor, and another for dishonor? Doesn’t God
have the power to give value to something which until yesterday had no worth? For
what reason should we boast? Have we not read in James (1:17) that Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from
the Father of lights, with whom can be no variation, nor turning shadow.
My brothers and sisters, ego is not simply a word, it
is not just a way of life. Ego is what creates the infection of death, first
comes the spiritual death and afterwards the biological death. It is because of
ego that we die. Unfortunately, ego is the law that exists within us and leads
us unknowingly to death. Meaning that we
don’t really understand it and yet this what we don’t understand is actually
leading us to death. Ego is what created the apostasy between God and man
and man with his fellow man. Ego is what drove us away from God and into the
hands of the devil. We still could not understand that we were God’s children
and owners of a massive fortune, both spiritual and material. We were and
continue to be if we can grasp it, owners of all of Creation. Here Thomas is referring to the whole
universe. I once asked Thomas what it
means to be owners of all of Creation, and he stated that each one of us who
manage to bring and keep God into our lives and do the works that are necessary
for us to become children of God, will have an immense inheritance. We will be
able to create new worlds like a new planet, a new solar system, new creatures
and alien life forms as well as the conditions for these life forms to exist.
Isn’t that crazy as a concept? Adam,
it states in the book of Ezekiel walked on fiery stones, here it is talking
about the firmament (or land mass) that was created by the fire. Everything
came, became and was born of fire and we all have a body temperature of 36.6
degrees Celsius which is also expressed from the written passage in Hebrews
12:29, for our God is a consuming fire.
To some
people this fire warms them, it gives them life and in others this fire along
with God slowly - slowly destroys them. Let me give an example: In the bible we see
that we should not criticize. The person who stops to criticize either people
or situations ends up having a more peaceful existence with himself and the
people around him. God appears more in him and God gives him more life. The
same person if he chooses to criticize everyone and everything around him lives
in a living hell because everything bothers him. This criticism is the fire
that burns him.
Whoever
decides to distance himself from the Father God, and cuts all ties with Him
ends up living a life with a dead end which comes upon him quickly. Imagine a world where you criticize from the
moment you wake up, you tell lies to your supposed loved ones and they in turn
speak in lies with you. You go to work and your employer steals a portion of
your salary so that he can make more money. Everyone comes by your desk and
criticizes your work by telling you, you are an incompetent and the only reason
why the boss is keeping you here is because he feels sorry for you when you
know that he keeps you there because he cannot find a person for less money to
do the job you are doing. Your life is a living hell. Your stress levels are
through the roof, you get headaches daily because of all the anger you are
experiencing etc. How long do you think your life will last if you continue
living like this? This is what Thomas speaks of when he says that your life
quickly comes to a dead end.
Let us
remind ourselves my brothers and sisters that we were once owners of love, of
God’s wisdom, of life, of incorruptible life. We were inheritors, co inheritors
and partakers of God the Father’s glory but with ego, we became poor in mind,
in spirit and in material, as well as health, in wisdom and everything else.
Today we
have changed from being God’s children to children of ego. Ego is the source
and the reason for all the bad and it is that which has separated us into
nations, and has brought division between us. Ego has given birth to religion,
denominations, pastors, followers, estates, self-interests, wickedness and
proud people.
Ego creates
all the bad in our lives. In a few words, ego is what forces God out of our
lives.
God is a
life creating entity and we cannot break away from Him, sooner or later we must
understand this. In 1 Corinthians 4:27 Paul says: What do you want? Shall I come to you
with a rod, or in love and a spirit of gentleness? Many times we come close to Him by
means of a rod (meaning a disciplinary tool) and we see that it is difficult to
regain our strength afterwards. It is written, because we have chosen apostasy
and ego, God has scattered the bones of him who encamps
against you.You have put them to shame, because God has rejected them. (Psalms
53:5) This has been going on for centuries now.
Ego creates
the constitution of all our un natural life. Here Thomas uses the word constitution to show how severe and how
integral ego is to an unnatural life. It is the basis of everything that takes
us away from the life we are supposed to live which should be a life of joy,
happiness, peace etc. I call it the great disturber. We were lead to believe
that the stimuli in our life are what disturb us but in reality it is our ego
which disturbs us. Let me give a personal example: One night around midnight I
got a call from the alarm security company at work stating that there was
movement detected in my company. Normally I would go into crisis mode. Who the
heck is it?! Who has the audacity to disrupt me at this hour?! Who is it that
wants to steal that which I have worked so hard for?!!! These were the
questions I used to ask. Ever since I got to know Thomas though, these
questions got altered. I realized that everything I have was given to me. Yes I
could say that I worked hard for it but the truth is, God gives everything and
you are just an administrator. I hung up
with the lady at the security company and then the questions that came to me
that night were as follows: do you think maybe it was a spider making a web on
the detector, could it be that something fell down causing the motion detector
to trigger? There was no panic. There was just some reasoning being done. I
called back the security company and asked if any doors had been opened. This
would mean that someone actually broke into the place. She said no. I said ok
and I went back to sleep! Peace. An hour later the phone rings again only this
time I have the police, the fire department and the security on a conference
call stating that there has been a fire at my facility and if I can come to see
it. I said ok I will be there. The factory is a seven minute walk from my
house. I calmly got dressed no stress, no worry. In my mind I have now
conditioned it to think that everything happens for a reason and for the good
to those who love God. And I love God. I went to the plant and there were at
least 4 fire trucks with enough spotlights to make the night into day. I spoke
with the police officer and he asks me this question: Is there anyone that does
not like you? I said no one I can think of but why do you ask this question? He
stated that the firemen looked at the cause of the fire and they determined
that there is no way it could've started by itself. I said to the officer, that
this should not be an issue as we have video surveillance all around and we can
see. We went through 3 hours of video prior to the fire and did not see anyone
or anything suspicious. The cops called off the criminal investigation and the
firemen left. The insurance company came, paid for the repairs and the place
looks better now than it did before. Maybe God thought it was time for a
renovation. Now if Ego was more prevalent in my life, I would be asking: why
did this happen to me?! Why am I stuck with this problem?! Why did the fire
have to start in the offices ?! All questions which provoke a negative response
causing the same negativity to be manifested in our bodies, in our cells. In
fact with ego the fire that would rage in my body would of been bigger than the
one at my work. This is what Thomas calls unnatural.
It is ego
that removes us from love, from happiness, from incorruptible life. Despite all
this let us not lose hope because Christ today through the Comforter helps us
to get rid of ego in our lives by Him being present, first to all those who got
to know and understand Him and then to the rest of the world. It is written: in God’s Kingdom not even a
sinning mosquito will enter. Let us be quick to understand this before ego
destroys us with sin, with bodily corruption and with death. I am paraphrasing
here. “ The whole morning we put a wake up alarm to ring so that we can wake up
and go to work. I put mine to wake me up with a verse or chapter from the Holy
Bible which I have placed on my phone. I have placed the whole bible on my
phone and many times when I walk on the street I look as if I am talking on my
phone but I am continually listening to the bible. I get tired of talking with
people of this world, because all they say is, “look at him, look at the other,
they cut our pay by 30 euros, they did this or that to us, he is to blame etc.”
I like listening to God’s wisdom instead of man’s wisdom. What else do people have to tell me? Yet God
has a lot to tell us, to all of us! The verse that wakes me in the morning
reminds me not to waste my time but as long as I do have the time to do God’s
will. In this manner from the time that I open my eyes, I take care to listen
to something that brings me back in line to
god. Always though, prior to sleeping, I pray, and I study God’s word. With
God’s word, I go to sleep and I wake up. All of this has brought me closer to
having God live within me continually.
Lately I have programmed my cell phone to wake me up with the chapter
from Ecclesiastes 12. Every week I put a new one. What does this chapter say, let us pay attention because hidden
within is great wisdom, that reveals to us how quickly ego leads us to loss, to
hell. The prophet is counselling and advising us:
12 Remember
also your Creator in the days of your youth,
before the evil days come, and the years draw near, when you will say, “I have no pleasure in
them”;2 Before the sun, the light,
the moon, and the stars are darkened, and the clouds return after the rain; 3 in the day when the keepers of the
house shall tremble, and the strong men shall bow themselves, and the grinders
cease because they are few, and those
who look out of the windows are darkened, 4
and the doors shall be shut in the street;
when the sound of the grinding is low,
and one shall rise up at the voice of a bird, and all the daughters of music shall be
brought low; 5 yes, they shall be
afraid of heights, and terrors will be
on the way; and the almond tree shall
blossom, and the grasshopper shall be a burden,
and desire shall fail; because man goes to his everlasting home, and the
mourners go about the streets: 6 before
the silver cord is severed, or the golden bowl is broken, or the pitcher is broken at the spring or the wheel broken at the cistern, 7 and the dust returns to the earth as
it was, and the spirit returns to God who gave it.
When will
all this take place? When I am indifferent. When I ignore what I should have
done, which was to bring God into my life.
The
words of the wise are like goads; and like nails well fastened are words from
the masters of assemblies, which are given from one shepherd. 12 Furthermore, my son, be admonished:
of making many books there is no end; and much study is a weariness of the
flesh. 13 This is the end of the
matter. All has been heard. Fear God, and keep his commandments; for this is
the whole duty of man. 14 For God
will bring every work into judgment, with every hidden thing, whether it is
good, or whether it is evil.
My brothers
and sisters, we have all heard and we know that God mocks
the mockers, but he gives grace to the
humble. (Proverbs 3:34) as well, but to this man
will I look, even to he who is poor and of a contrite spirit, and who trembles
at my word. (Isaiah 66:2).
Egoism is
the beast that has devoured billions of people. Thomas calls it the pestiferous
(or infectious) sin that for centuries has been sweeping the planet earth from
one corner to the other spreading and seeding death in multi faceted ways.
Because of it billions of souls plunged into Hades (death). Ego has brought to
the whole planet a war that is being fought within us and this war drives us to
the hospitals. We are living in hell. Thomas
calls it fire. With ego within us, we are all living an undeclared war
which our ignorance has brought to our lives, to our cells, to our interior and
exterior world. We are experiencing on a daily basis repeated conflicts which
manifest themselves into diverse diseases. There are millions and billions of
casualties that are being continually hosted by hospitals. There exists though
a good side in our world, because today there are many scientific,
psychological and spiritual organizations that are trying to defeat sin, ignorance,
and death. We see this especially in science, but I have stated it before, the
machines which count the microbes or the sicknesses are not that effective and
the reason is quite simple. With science
a person will understand that he will not be able to live for long,
especially when he is concerned in living a life with the manner which he is
living presently, with its problems and with an age limit of 70,80, 100
years. Yet the life that God recommends
surpases 100, 200, 500 and 1000 years, it becomes eternal.
Despite all
of this, we see God’s wisdom hidden in science. During the time it takes for
man to get to know God, science helps him with a doctor’s presence who assists
the God searcher in understanding what may harm him. Science therefore is
needed until we learn to love Christ, to fall in love with Christ. Science is
needed while Christ grows within us. If therefore one or many chose to live
with God’s spirit, they will succeed in accomplishing great things.
God’s wisdom
brings us to God’s blessing. God’s wisdom changes our spiritual objectives from
being egotistical and evil to Christ centered. Whoever wishes to familiarize or
concern themselves about Christ will experience the great miracle. This miracle
will be that if Christ sees love, He will concern Himself with those who
concern themselves with Him. This might
sound contrary to some teachings as we say and believe that God loves each one
equally. Think of it in another way though. Let’s say you had two children, and
one of them is hard working, studious,
wants to pay for her education by working odd jobs while going to school or is
entrepreneurial and comes up with creative ideas to make more money to fund
herself and her family while the other child has decided school is not for them,
they drop out. They decide to play video games all day and live at home
sometimes not changing their clothes or not showering for days. You know that
the one that is working still cannot make ends meet because the tuition is too
steep. You as a parent provided that you have the means, try to help. You fill
in the missing amount whether it would be $1000 or $5000 to help. Would you do
it for the other child if they wanted to spend $5000 on a new gaming system
with hi tech sound system and the latest graphics card? Maybe once or maybe not
at all because you know that the money is squandered, it will not help your
child it will just push him deeper in a downward spiralling hole. If you as a
human being are able to reward the child that works hard and makes an effort in
life, how much more would God do for someone who seeks to become like Him? You
love them both but at a certain point you see that no matter how much you help
the child that gives up, and resorts to failure your time and efforts are
better spent on the child who wants to make it on their own. There will be a
lot of critics to this example that I have given but being a parent myself I
see now why God gives gifts and fruits of the Holy Spirit to those who work for
Him and not to just anyone on the street. This is His way to encourage us
further towards His path, the path to life. To those who chose to ignore and
smoke, and drink and take drugs, to those God still loves them and He gives
them free will but He does not give them
the fruits and the gifts of the Holy Spirit that they may be squandered.
It is
written you are My friends if you do what I command you. (John 15:14). Now don’t see this statement as a threat. It
is not like that famous speech that Bush stated one time, you are either with
us or against us. Thomas wishes to state the following. Jesus has given us an
instruction to a better way of life. We can listen to Him or ignore Him. What
we will realize though is that if we choose to follow his instruction and
partake in His way of life, we will have a better life in all measures as well
as an eternal life if we keep these commandments. Those who do not concern themselves with
Christ surely concern themselves with other matters and other people. Each
person with one another. If we want to concern ourselves with the world, with
people, we will see mistakes and these mistakes will aggravate us, and worry
us. If though we concern ourselves with God, then peace will come, health will
come, life will come and then we can will our own lives in silence, with our
example help our fellow man so that we may live and experience Christ together.
My brothers and sisters, it is written: But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all
these things will be added to you. (Matthew 6:33). This Kingdom houses God’s will.
Afterwards whatever else we are currently struggling for will simply be added
to our lives. Everything though must be managed and or governed with
righteousness that encompasses giving. What
Thomas means is that if we have an attitude where we give of ourselves either
of or our time or our money to others, this enables us to receive God’s
righteousness, which righteousness pays back tenfold what we give to
others. I always use the analogy of the
fruit is always greater than the
seed. Meaning that if you sow seeds of good and love towards yourself and
others, the fruits generated (or the results of your actions) will always be
greater than the effort you put in doing the good. In the scene of the movie
Titanic after the ship struck the iceberg. The engineer talks to the crew and
says that it is a mathematical certainty the ship will sink and I tell you
today, it is a spiritual certainty that your reward for doing good is always
greater than your effort.
If man is not able to solve the spiritual problem, he
will be able to put it off for a while with the help of science (basically if a
person has a medical condition, they could take medication to sustain
themselves) but in the long run this person will never be able to put off the
big problems and death. People without Christ will live in troublesome times (I
call it Hell) because our problems are always spiritual. Christ was healthy in
spirit and in the body. The Father rewarded Him for His works. Christ became the ransom for many. Which is to say that
He paid the price for all of us. Today, people should all be glorifying God
day and night. He has given us so many good things and we still have problems.
In reality there are no problems, we just simply have
not found the solutions. Our solutions for life are found in God’s Word, which
we should be reading continually because if one or many live for a hundred
years and seventy of those years are problematic with rivalries and strife then life has lost its meaning. With Christ in
our lives though, we can live 100, and 200, and 300, and 500 years with
problems but these years will be blessed with many pleasant surprises. Whoever has a certain problem, it is good that
they get help from science until they can find God’s spirit which gives life.
Here is the reason why, when the devil has managed to steal a part of a
person’s life, it is not easy for this same person to dedicate himself and
bring Christ into his life which will rid him of the devil. When we speak of the Devil in Greek the word
is diabolo we speak of he who gives two
conflicting sides to everything. The word diabolo in Greek comes from the two
greek words dio - meaning the number two and boli - which means shots or
firing. By providing these two
conflicting sides and often times concealing the truth, a person who has an
evil energy within themselves is conflicted and cannot see clearly.
Oftentimes we
think that these ideas or thoughts are our own, but we must understand
that our brain is like a receiver. There is also a transmitter which transmits.
God has one and so does the Devil. We are just a receiver, whatever transmitter
we are hooked up to, from it we will receive either positive thoughts or
negative ones, depending on the transmitter. If we succeed in bringing our head
around with the relative dedication to find the frequency of God’s transmitter,
we will see that our happiness will be indescribable. In every moment at every
minute we will hear the living voice of the living God, which will give us
life. Thomas means this quite literally.
It is not just a theory or an unproven concept. Most of these speeches that
Thomas writes are written as a result of what Thomas hears when he is in his
sanctuary. I asked him once, what do these voices sound like and how do you
know how to differentiate them. He told me it is like picking up your cell
phone and talking. The voice on the other side is the same voice he hears in
his brain. He can distinguish between the angelic voice because it is
authoritative and commanding. Christ’s voice is more soft and nurturing. God’s
voice is like having a thousand speakers in the room and it is everywhere
around you.
Now if science wants to solve people’s problems, it
would be good if they can listen to us (the spiritual ones) if they have
humility. They being the scientists must search to find equipment which will be
able to measure how much ego we have, how much wickedness we have, how many
lies we tell, how much hypocrisy we harbour, take under consideration how much
we judge, how much the Devil has trapped our lives so that the doctor may give
us books which will make all these aspects disappear. The best book by far is God’s
word and the regenerative teachings of the Voice of God. God’s word is the pill
that we must take on the hour, every hour until God’s wisdom becomes tangible. By tangible Thomas means that we think, talk
and act as if we were like Jesus. This of course takes time because we have to
go through various experiences and gauge how we react to them to see if we
really do have God’s wisdom. For example: When someone is criticizing you, are
you going on the defensive? Are you getting angry? Are you thinking how you can
strike back or are you looking at the person with love and seeing that her
comment could be constructive. Are you able to discern if she is criticizing
you out of anger towards something you did or said or is it because she is
having a bad day? These are all elements of wisdom.
Today, doctors with proper testing are able to see
your sugar levels, see your blood pressure, how much fat you have, how much
cholesterol, etc. Unfortunately they cannot find how many demons inhabit within
us. There is always a reason for health problems. Therapy does help in to bring
the body back to health for a little while, but the root of the problem is
always spiritual.
If we do not grasp the concept of God which gives
life, our body will continue to manifest problems, as well a our spirit with
our thoughts. There are many who don’t have a problem with their health but
they have fear, ego, wickedness, etc. This is why a sick person who has managed
to solve a biological problem with the help of science for the moment, will
reveal another problem within a short while if he does not regenerate, and if
he does not change his way of life.
The machines that I speak of, will show how many
demons we have, and when I speak of demons I mean: criticism, lies, ego,
wickedness etc. Do you remember the man that the lord met with in the land of
Gerasene that was living in the tombs? Jesus said, “What
is your name?” And he said to Him, “My name is Legion; for we are many.” (Mark
5: 9) and the Lord commanded the evil spirits to come out of that man
and to go into the swine that were grazing nearby, the swine went crazy and ran
off the cliff. This was an event that
was witnessed by many and it shows what hides behind every problem is the
diabolos (as we explained it earlier), un-learnedness (I would also add lack of
knowledge), ignorance, sin, wrongful way of living and thinking that we possess
which stems from ego, since we are continually wanting something in order to be
happy. We continually demand and continually dispute things. We never rest to say “Glory be to God, thank you”.
Only when the devil, second guessing and ego exit from our lives, Christ will
immediately come. When Christ comes, sickness will leave (either spiritual or
biological). My brothers and sisters, whoever today has a problem with their
health either with their spirit or with their body, let him ignore it. Let him
go to the doctor to give him the relative therapy or medication, but let him
not focus on the problem, let him leave it aside, what gave birth to this problem
was their old self. If we want to untangle ourselves from problems let’s
increase Christ, by studying everyday, living in God and putting a guard to our
lips so that our tongue does not cause
us loss. What we say every day plays an important role. All day we converse
without reason and we say the same things, just like a CD when it is stuck, we
say the same thing repeatedly which instead of benefiting us, destroys us. Be
certain that when Christ grows (in us) everything will heal because of His manifold
wisdom.
Each day Christ knows how to steal the headlines (and
impressions) of our mind with His wisdom. The apostle Paul revealed the reason
and source of our problems, but I see a different law
in the members of my body, waging war against the law of my mind and making me
a prisoner of the law of sin which is in my members. Wretched man that I am! Who
will set me free from the body of this death? Since he was making this effort and making the appropriate
struggle he said, Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ
our Lord! who freed him and in another part of the bible, after many
years of spiritual effort he says happily, I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but
Christ lives in me; and the life which
I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and
gave Himself up for me. (Galatians 2:20)
My brothers and sisters, for Christ to change the
conditions (and situations) that were created by the evil and ego on the whole
planet, and the whole human race, He was incarnated as man. This incarnation
later became a way of life for many. God told His disciples, that they were the
beginning, the students - for people to do battle against the evil on a
personal level first and later on a general level they had to know and
understand God’s wisdom - He, Jesus therefore commanded His disciples saying “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. He who has believed and has been
baptized shall be saved; but he who has disbelieved shall be condemned. These
signs will accompany those who have believed: in My name they will cast out
demons, they will speak with new tongues; they will pick up serpents, and if
they drink any deadly poison, it will
not hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.” To
those that went to preach the gospel,
He gave incentives for repentance, regeneration, and spiritual evolution to
many people whose infection from the ego had not reached the point of no
return. In other words, ego has many levels, whoever does not reach the final
level of having evil ego, the people of God with God’s wisdom can come into
their lives and take care of the infection before it gets to the point where
the person is fully infected. Today though we must be careful because Ego is
increasing. The reason why it is increasing in people’s lives is because of
progress. Despite God having given it to us for our good, for our life to be
more comfortable, we put it to bad use, such as: one says, “I have this, I have
the other”, one seeks to grab from the other whatever he has for example in
Second Timothy Chapter 3 verses 1-5, we see But realize
this, that in the last days difficult times will come. For men will be lovers
of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents,
ungrateful, unholy, unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without
self-control, brutal, haters of good, treacherous,
reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, holding to a form of godliness,
although they have denied its power;
We see that in the past these elements existed in
people but not in this large proportion, in other words in a thousand people, a
hundred people possessed them. Today though we see that in a thousand people
all one thousand possess them. Say something to someone, to affect him
unwittingly and you will see that he will “pin you against the wall”. People
don't have the patience, the forgiveness, the love, they lack what god has
which is to act like He has not heard everything, that He has not seen
everything. All of this has come about today. I hope that we make it before the
infection of ego does not lead us to disaster, since the weapons we possess
today are enough to destroy the whole planet, may it not be! Despite all of
this whoever understands today that they have been infected by ego, to make an effort, let it be
known that if we leave ego within us, death is upon us. If we see death
approaching let us run to Christ. The features, the signs of death approaching
are those I mentioned beforehand in Ecclesiastes. It is certain that if we
hurry in truth we will avoid the effects of this infection that is caused by
ego. There are many who tried and succeeded to bring themselves back to God’s
principles. There are many who by getting involved concerning the workings of
God pushed away death and other problems from their lives. To those where ego
still reigns over them, it is difficult for Christ to come in, but even in this
we should not get discouraged, but always hope because as it is written in Luke
18:27 “The
things that are impossible with people are possible with God.”
Once upon a time, there was a King, the King of Syria
and he had heard about Elisha the prophet. This king had a very worthy general
whose name was Naaman who was afflicted by leprosy on his whole body. The king
therefore decided to send Naaman to Elisha, to this man of God because he had
heard that Elisha does great miracles. Naaman went to the prophet, and the
prophet commanded him to go bathe himself seven times in the river, in the
river Jordan, and to get out and likewise he would be healed of his leprosy.
This is simplicity. Yet with ego and complexity how would Elisha have healed
him? Naaman with ego and anger responded to the prophet, “Are not Abanah and
Pharpar, the rivers of Damascus, better than all the waters of Israel? Could I
not wash in them and be clean?” (2 Kings 12). So he turned and went away in a
rage. Then his servants came near and spoke to him and said, “My father, had
the prophet told you to do some great
thing, would you not have done it?
How much more then, when he says to
you, ‘Wash, and be clean’?” So he went down and dipped himself seven times in the Jordan, according to the word of the man
of God; and his flesh was restored like the flesh of a little child and he was
clean.
It is not just the healing that is important here, it
was the obedience to God’s word that leads to healing, to health. When Naaman
got out of the Jordan on the seventh time was when his skin became like that of
a child, Thomas uses the word pentakathari which literally 5 times clean or just
spotless. Our infection can leave us in the same manner, all we need is to
obey. To what should we obey? To not judge or you will
be judged. To what else should we obey? To study God’s wisdom, so that
we may have ammunition, and to have counter arguments (sort of like a lawyer)
so that when the Wicked one comes we will know what to tell him, and he will
not be able to find fertile ground and come into our lives and demonize us. We
must be with guns, with a helmet, with the shield and with the sword of the
Spirit. These weapons must be attached to us at every moment.
We come now to us. Although we have taken many
spiritual steps in many respects and areas of
our life, death is still upon us and it has not stopped carrying out its
work today towards the whole human race (including Christians). It continues to
work with power. Its source of energy to lead man to Hades is simple, it’s ego.
Ego means loneliness. Loneliness means death and I am not speaking of the
loneliness experienced by a person of God, but of a worldly person. A person of
God has many activities (or operations) in the sanctuary. The worldly -
egotistical person has none because he finds and sees fault in everything. He
considers himself above all others and above everything else and despite
whatever you do he cannot understand its great wisdom to the point where he
cannot communicate with his environment, with himself, or with anyone. In the
end, he shuts himself in - and if it continues - they shut him in a psychiatric
ward. A person of god does not seek for the how and why. This is done by an
egoist. A person of god, loves everyone around him sincerely and genuinely
without expecting anything in return. Love is not to be traded but to be
directed towards every fellow person, friend and enemy. This is the simplicity
possessed by a person of God and if he or she is betrayed, he/she is not
bothered, they continue, Love is patient, love is kind and is not jealous; love does not brag and is not arrogant, does not act
unbecomingly; it does not seek its own, is not provoked, does not take into
account a wrong suffered, does not rejoice in unrighteousness,
but rejoices with the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all
things, endures all things. (1 Corinthians 13:4-7). Love is a complete
and total giving to your neighbour. The worldly person or shall we say the
person of this world is an egoist, since he has ignorance, since he does not concern
himself with God’s wisdom, he has learned to get concerned or absorbed by
worldly matters, with the logic that prevails in this world and by doing so, he
has gathered within himself many negative (evil) stimuli, since he is
miserable, does not love, he trades everything (I’ll love you if you do this or
that for me…) and everyone tries to rid themselves of him. The biggest and most obvious aspect of an
egoist is that he wants everyone to offer themselves or things to him, and if
he offers it is only because he does not have a choice. An egoist is a miser, closed in his own
shell. An egoist considers himself smart. An egoist is alone, everyone avoids
him but he is very cunning. He distorts everything. An egoist is envious, he is
jealous, he is curious, gets angry over petty things, judges continually and
many more. Yet a person of God is always the one who continually loves, without
limits, and without pretence. The person of God is humble. Humility bestows and
ensures within him unbelievable grace and happiness. It ensures him an
indescribable and inextinguishable light, that comes from Christ himself who is
the Light.
What drives us to this ego? What makes us believe that
we can live without God, without friends, without brothers or sisters, without love,
without God’s wisdom, without righteousness, without peace? What is it that
causes us to see mistakes or faults everywhere? What strong illusion does it
contain within it that entices us from a young age to have it exist in us, and
to manifest itself with complaint, with worry, with wickedness, with lies, with
criticism, with interests (primarily our own), with egotistical - evil
incentives so that we want, from a young age to overpower others and place them
under our control and if we fail to overpower them, we try again in our way to
downgrade them to devalue them. Spiritual and worldly people want power, can
this be possible?! Have the spiritual ones not read in God’s word But do not be called
Rabbi; for One is your Teacher, and you are all brothers. 9 Do not call anyone on
earth your father; for One is your Father, He who is in heaven. 10 Do not be called [b]leaders; for One is your Leader, that is, Christ. (Matthew 23:8-10)
Despite all
of this, we know and understand that the problem of ego can depart from us if
we turn our attention to the real culprit of all our problems. What is that?
The apostle Paul through the Holy Spirit and under God’s revelation solved this
mystery in Ephesians 6:12 by saying For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but
against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this
darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.
In other
words, it is not that you see a person in front of you and you fight with him,
but you are battling with spirits which have over centuries now fine tuned and
specialized and it is now easy for them to fool every person by telling him,
“Run here so that you may not miss this, run there so that you may not miss
that, run to do this, run….” and in so running around, in stress, in the
dialogue that builds up within the person, this is where the damage is done,
this is where the bad kills and in the end you don’t end up winning anything.
Do you remember the fool who with the spirit of avarice and greed, the spirit
made him run to ensure what? Money so that he may fill his storage facilities
and when he filled them, the lord told him, in Luke 12:20 ‘You fool! This very
night your soul is required of you; and now
who will own what you have prepared?’
Likewise we are running, running all the time to gain
what? My child since you have your health, you have your income, your job, your
house, your family, your friends, your car, so much good, what else do you want
in your life? Is this not enough? Let God add to you something. In another
section of the bible (Romans 7:23-24) it says, but I
see a different law in the members of my body, waging war against the law of my
mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin which is in my members.
The Lord
stated, the spirit
is willing, but the flesh is weak (In Matthew 26:41). The
law that we see within us is the law of decay (corruption), the law of the fall
(of Adam), the law of lack of knowledge (in other words we do not know enough about something in order to make
a proper decision), the law of ignorance, the law of ego, the law of
jealousy, of criticism, of the lie. This law has entered in us and has formed
such a part of our everyday lives that we do not even know or understand God’s
law in order that we can put this law into our lives which is actually quite
short and I may add simple and
states, you shall love the Lord your God with all your
heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your
strength.’ ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ (Mark 12:30-31). This
is God’s law, and you save yourself from everything. Herein lies the the reason
and cause of death, other spirits and other rules or laws came into our
lives. Herein lies the cause for
whatever abnormality exists in the whole of Creation, and specifically in the
logical Creation (where the creatures can
think and become like God) in which man belongs to. The reason is because we
put the law of the Wicked One in our lives and took out God because we do not
concern ourselves and quite frankly are not interested in God’s wisdom. Yet,
God’s love has not left man behind, despite man having neglected Him,
criticized and crucified Him, Christ with God’s love came to the world and set
the motion for a great project to save mankind with repentance. Those who were able to understand the value of
repentance, managed with the relative struggle slowly - slowly along with the
relative patience and persistence to experience something new inside them - the
Gospel, God’s Word is timeless,
repentance is valid and the same for all seasons - this repentance
stopped the infection that was brought into their lives by ego. It stopped the
pain, the problem, corruption or decay and death. All of them with the
regenerative teachings began to take deep and profound spiritual breaths which
filled their beings with the holy spiritual light of life which is called love,
justice, joy, God's wisdom, grace, and the Holy Spirit. There is a song whose
lyrics say, “ I will change neighbourhood, I will leave the past behind, so
that I do not remember you my old love”. Here the singer is
naturally talking about the human neighbours, but we know that even if you
change your neighbourhood death will still continue to exist, ego, wickedness
will also continue to exist, everything will still continue to exist. If you go
to another neighbourhood, instead of finding love you will find something else
which will create a problem, and you will want another neighbourhood yet again.
No matter in which worldly neighbourhood that you go into, it is all the same.
We in the Voice of God though, speak of the spiritual neighbourhood which already exists and is being built within
us first, and because this spiritual neighbourhood does not yet exist, we can
build it first by ourselves and afterwards we will find others that will have
the same spirit. There is a movie
starring Kevin Costner where he is walking in the fields in the back of his
house and he hears a voice saying, “if you build it he will come”. What the
voice was telling him was if he builds a baseball field in his backyard players
who were once great legends in baseball will come and play in his field and
there will be people from all over who will want to come and see them
play. The same will happen when you will
start building the field of heaven in your heart. It will permeate to
everything and everyone around you will become the field that everyone will
come to see.
So what am I doing? I listen to the
New Testament, it is here where I hear God speak because Christ did not say
anything of His own, but whatever He would hear from His father he would
say. Afterwards I put on the Apostle
Paul, (his letters, etc.). Here I witness God speaking through the Holy Spirit.
I also put on God’s wisdom which exists in the Voice of God, here I listen to
the Comforter. I therefore continually listen to God speaking to me through the
Holy Spirit. I also put on and listen to the Holy Fathers, here is where I also
here God in another form of wisdom that was enacted and put forth in the
desert. Each period of time had with it different approaches but all of them
were through the Holy Spirit. As such I
find myself with many friends and these friends always have wisdom! I chose
wise friends! Moreover it is not that important to see friends the point is to
listen to what these friends say. For example, you make a call, you don’t see
him but you hear him and if what he tells you is something pleasant, then it
gives you happiness, if what he tells you is unpleasant then it makes you
worry. Likewise we should have friends and hear them until we see them, until
we get to know them. If things don’t go well, let us change our spiritual
friends, this is what it means to us to “change our neighbourhood” because where we are currently living there
could be many small demons if we are not cautious.
Despite all this, understand that
death continues to exist because sin has continued to exist in Christian lives
- until today it is continuing- and the reason why death cannot be defeated is
because God’s plan has not yet been fulfilled, despite Christ having entered
into our lives. In any event, let us continue to hope - it is still needed -
and the reason why we should hope to make it into God’s kingdom is because we
still have with us a powerful spiritual weapon which is God’s word, which upon
reading will increase our faith and under all circumstances will help us with
our struggle. What does this written word say? Therefore we do not lose heart, but
though our outer man is decaying, yet our inner man is being renewed day by
day. (Book of 2 Corinthians 4:16). This is the big secret. Let us not care about our
outwardly life, what concerns us is to be continually spiritually working and
studying on a daily basis, not by force but because we want to, with passion
and eagerness let’s concern ourselves to study and to know God. The more God’s
word increases in us, the more God lives within us. My brothers and sisters,
despite the apostles having travelled to various nations, despite idolaters
having converted to Christianity, despite the fact that Christians have managed
to legalize Christianity where it becomes the official religion in most
nations, the root of sin has not been removed. It continues to live even in
Christians. Even though we say that we are Christians, we still have the root
of sin within us and this can be seen through our judgement, since we have
personal interests and not common interests, we still hoard material things. Let’s take an example, how many of us are
willing to give let alone lend something that we admire and cherish to a friend
of ours or even a stranger: a pair of shoes, a nice coat or jacket, a car or
home? Unfortunately, despite being logical beings we don’t have the
righteousness that comes from offering but we have the righteousness of the
Pharisees: “I gave you, and now you must give”. Even as Christians we don’t
have Christ’s love which is directed towards fellow friends and enemies but the
love that the Lord condemned which was directed to people close to us such as family and friends. We still
don’t have the humility that Christ revealed and is as follows: So you too, when you do all the things which are commanded
you, say, ‘We are unworthy slaves; we have done only that which we ought to have done. (Luke 17:10). Indeed
in every effort that we take we want the relevant reward. Even with ego, we
don’t have Christ’s peace but a complete turmoil. Everyone is continually
living in turmoil. There is an anger that exists in everyone which stems from
their personal interests, in every word a corresponding egotistical objection. A thought comes in your head to help someone
who is begging for money on the street, and then the objection comes, no you
can’t help you will be late for your meeting etc. Unfortunately
we have many gaps and the most fundamental of them all is the ignorance of
God’s Word and His will.
The fact that death continues to
overshadow and impose its way means that sin, and devilish ego continue to live
within us. This just proves that we became Christians on paper superficially but our root and I would say our inner core is pagan
and this is what remains in our whole being.
One day, a person came to my work.
He was wearing nice clothes but he had not washed himself for at least a week
and he smelled all over. It is exactly the same with us. With civilization we
have modernized our lives, we bought new furniture, new clothes, new cars, etc
yet we have not changed anything within us. We still have characteristics that
cause us to smell and the smelliest characteristic of them all is ego, the lie,
judgement and wickedness. What did the lord say, “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees,
hypocrites! For you are like whitewashed tombs which on the outside appear
beautiful, but inside they are full of dead men’s bones and all uncleanness.”
(Matthew 23:27).
Indeed we like cleaning ourselves on the outside yet on the inside we are
indifferent. Do you know how much ego smells? It smells a lot! It is not
bearable! Today I understand why God does not come into our lives. Fortunately
we have understood this. Wherever we may now encounter ego either in us or
around us, what do we do? We said, “I will change neighbourhood” but lets us
change the verse around, “I will leave the crooked and the evil behind, so I
don’t remember my old curse” The Greek just sounds better because it rhymes, Tha alláxo geitoniá tha
fýgo ap’ ta stravá, eosforiká, na min thymámai eséna katára mou paliá.
This curse is ego, because there is
nothing that exists out there that is more inhumane. It is better for you to be
sick, it is better to have nothing to eat, it is better to have one eye, one foot,
one hand, than to have ego because ego repels God. God does not have a problem
to cure those who suffer physically, at some moment He passes by he who
suffers. He does have a problem though working with hypocrites. Imagine a
person who is made from sand to be saying all the time “you know I, I, I….”
Forgive me, I speak for all of us,
as well as for myself, we are stupid when we say “I, I, I…” Let’s become wise
and say “God gave me this, God helped me so that I can have that and that, God
can bless you also.., may God work and or continue in your life…” God, God.
Now let us leave from our
neighbourhood and let’s take a look at the international scene, because we also
belong to the world, knowing that the world is like our body. If you have a
virus it can infect the whole body but the truth is also in the opposite
whereby if you are a healthy and strong cell in the world, it will help the other cells so that they may
save the body, to redeem it. (or free it). We ask ourselves till when will ego
and sin continue in this world? The answer is found in God’s wisdom, which is
present in God’s Word and came from the mouth of the Lord who cannot lie. What
is this wisdom? The lord revealed the answer that will make the whole human
race come back to His principles. These principles to us are found in John 16
verses 7-15:
7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go
away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I
depart, I will send him unto you.
8 And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of
righteousness, and of judgment:
He (looks like it will be a person)
will have the power to control the world! To control the world? How will he do
that? Who knows what power He will have! However, we have some people in the
old testament who had the power given to them by God to control kingdoms like
Moses who controlled the Pharaoh and we know that he took and freed the
Israelites out of Egypt. The verse 9 continues:
9 Of sin, because they believe not on me;
10 Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more;
11 Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.
12 I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now.
Therefore as Christians we do not
have the complete truth and this is the reason why we cannot be freed from lack
of knowledge, from ignorance, and the wrong way in which we see things.
13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into
all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear,
that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.
14 He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it
unto you.
In other words, we had Fathers come,
we had churches come, we had prophets come, we had students come, we had
pastors come we also had apostles come yet when He, the Spirit of Truth comes,
he will lead you to the whole truth, Christ himself states this. This is the
reason why we cannot solve the mystery of death, because the Spirit of truth is
needed. We have in part the truth,
someone has 20 percent, another 30 percent, another 40 percent but 100 percent
is needed.
15 All things that the Father hath
are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto
you. (John 16:7-15)
My brothers and sisters, God’s plan
started in the garden of Eden, then the baton was taken by Abraham, then Moses,
then the Judges, the Kings, the Prophets, the Lord, and later His disciples who
went out about spreading the word, later the apostles, the churches, the
Fathers, the Pastors, etc. but the solution has not been found for us to rid
ourselves from ego, death so that all nations, the Christian ones being first
can live spiritually holy and eliminate the exploitation of individuals or the
discrimination amongst people where some receive everything and others don’t
get anything or if they get something they receive it in tiny portions, in Greek Thomas uses the term to receive
with a dropper.
Does God’s righteousness live
amongst people today? Naturally not. Not even amongst Christians. Should His
righteousness not be with us? My brothers and sisters, since God’s Kingdom has
not arrived, it means that error still overshadows over Christians, especially
to those who rule over nations. Now since these Christians don’t want to change
their lives, they got comfortable with the privileges of money and self
interests etc. let us then take the opportunity for us to change. To achieve
this change a decision, a willingness and knowledge are needed. We could
achieve this and establish God’s Kingdom in us and around us. There are two
characteristics, two principles which should overshadow people, all of us. The
first is time (time is needed for all this to be built) of which this time has
come for us, to take the decision, and the other is for this new person that
the Lord revealed and spoke about, who is regarded by the Lord as the One, as a
Comforter, and indeed the so called Spirit of truth.
In other words the former (being the
time) is to take advantage of our time, not to listen to the sirens that are
sounding around us, he said this, the other said that etc. The earth and all
that is in it, belong to God and He decides what happens. Let us not listen to
prophecies (which speak of war and destruction) or the prophets (who speak of
these matters) or anyone, just listen to God’s word. Defeat the bad with the
good. We should focus our efforts on
that and from then on, God knows what to
do. This person therefore, I do not think it is important who he is, the
important thing is that he will bring to man, God’s truth which is Christ.
Christ Himself said that this is how it will be. His disciples at the time
could not fully comprehend the complete plan, the truth. This person will help
build Christ in our lives. Christ said that, he shall teach you all things….. when he, the Spirit
of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth…(John 14:23 & 16:13)
Here we understand that this person
will have the whole truth. The problem of ego, criticism (or judgement),
wickedness, corruption, and death will be solved by him. Whoever has appeared
till today was a part of the truth, except for Christ who is the truth!
Moreover, he will bring Jesus to life within us and will spiritually awaken us
so that we will understand how he did it. Now if you speak about Christ to
anyone, they will all say that they know of him, if you know of him, and if you
consider Him as God, why are you not following Him every chance you get? Because
your primary interest is money, social status, and people etc. Therefore this
shows that we still have not understood.
I heard a pastor preach one time in
a church that a spiritual brother approached him one day and told him,
“Brother, yesterday when we were travelling, a truck came out of its lane and
almost killed myself and my whole family, thank God for Him having protected
us”. The pastor replies, “What are you talking about my child, it would be a
blessing if you had all died and had gone to the Lord”. Here Christ, defeated
death and brought life and incorruptibility through the Gospel and this pastor
along with many other deacons and pastors talk about you dying so that you may
go to Heaven and meet the Lord. Where are you going to find Christ, since
Christ has resurrected! Does this pastor have a brain? If this is not complete
blindness, what is it? Christ’s will is
for earth to be like Heaven, and today people speak of dying so they can go to
God. My child, do you not read, that
Christ has defeated death and has paid for you, for me, for all? Why do you
want to die? Do you not read that God is God of the living and not of the dead,
why do you speak of death? There is
great confusion! Today we understand that in order to defeat death, for God’s
Kingdom to be established, we need to get to know Him (the Spirit of truth) so
that he may change (or heighten) our faith.
Faith is the
substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen, (Hebrews 11:1)
Through faith promises have been fulfilled
and taken place in many people’s lives. If you don’t believe, if you don’t
change your faith, if you don’t know your own self, if you don’t understand
God’s will you will always be asking for things in error. And indeed what is
tragic about this whole situation, and I have said it before, that when the
time comes for those who preach life after death to die, they don’t let
themselves go to God like they preach about, but they go to the hospital and
pay as much as they can to gain another day. Therefore we must get to know Him
- we cannot solve the problem otherwise - so that we may live like him, to
listen like him, to think like him, to love like him, to concern ourselves with
love over spiritual matters, to work like him, to believe like him, to live
freely like him, in a few words to be like him.
Whoever wants the half truth let him
know that he will have it today and wherever he may go he will still find just
the half truth. If though, we find Him, and get to know Him who has the Spirit
of Truth, He will lead us to the truth, to life. With Him, humanity will get to
know the whole truth which will give life to man and the reason being is
because he will take from Christ and announce (and reveal) to us the future,
and help fill in the spiritual gaps
in which we lack. I hope that we are lucky enough to meet and get to know He
whom God will send. Indeed this person will have a wisdom way above others. His
wisdom, his simplicity will approach Christ’s because it is from Christ where
he will take it. My brothers and sisters look at God’s Word. It is not
complicated, it is not mysterious, it is not philosophical, it is not
problematic, it is not an enigma or a crossword puzzle to break your head, he
is simply simple. God lives in simplicity. It is with simplicity that he has
built and created all this great world, he said and it
was done.
We though, still live in complexity,
we continually analyze, we search with no end, and the reason being is very
simple, we don’t want to give love. Christ spoke with simple principles, these
came from God. Simplicity reveals godliness. For God, everything is simple.
God’s words are simple and they positively and completely shake us up. For an
egoist, everything is complicated. He (the spirit of truth) will be simple yet
with his simplicity his wisdom will exceed that of the disciples, the prophets,
the spiritual people, the priests and all those who preach, but this Comforter,
He (this spirit of truth) will not be greater than God the Father, nor greater
than the Lord, since he will take from Christ and the Father and will glorify
God. He (the Comforter) will accomplish and fulfill one more of God the
Father’s missions. This mission will be to reveal the manner in which we can
get to know God as He is. He will also help us to discard ego, and to
reintegrate ourselves to the path of life, incorruptible life. The comforter
will teach us how to digest everything that came out of the lord’s mouth and
they are as follows: before I say them, I will say a side note. Someone will
ask me, don’t Christians have the truth? And second, the complexity, the wisdom
of whatever science is it not truth? The wisdom from all the literature, where
did it come from if the creating mechanism of all is God?
Yes everything comes from God and the
reason being is that God’s love causes Him to concern Himself and heal those
who were infected and those who still
suffer from this infection of ego. This ego has caused them to stray away
from simplicity. Do you understand why God has brought forth all this progress?
To help even those! (who got filled with ego). For all those who don’t see the
simplicity, He developed complexity so that people can get to know God through
their genes, the cells, psychology, parapsychology, literature, engineering,
technology (of any kind) or science (of any kind) etc.
My brothers and sisters I will
repeat, no matter what the infection, (here Thomas compares a negative thought
process, or feeling or emotion as an infection) for God to liberate and save
man from ego’s all infecting influence, He speaks to man in many faceted ways
so that man does not have to search but to accept his environment with
simplicity. Let’s go into an example: You
might see the sky and question why it is blue. You can take the path where you
study to become a scientist so that you may observe and analyze all elements
that cause the sky to be blue and spend roughly 10 years in the process or
accept the sky being blue. Thank God for it and spend the same amount of time
to study and learn God, adopting the habits and characteristics of Christ.
We don’t need extensive research to
experience and live with what is around
us. Besides what will you see since God’s wisdom lies behind all of this.
With simplicity though you have wisdom because you accept things as they are.
As an example let us observe how our heart works. My fellow man can you give me
an explanation, I am not talking about its physical makeup, how many valves it
has but of its movement, its energy, where it comes from. Secondly, a man’s
brain weighs 1.5 kilos (3.33 pounds), it is thinking matter, 80% of it if I am
not mistaken consists of water. Complexity is nice but up to a point where you
can admire it and then stop and return to simplicity. Those who study and
research in this manner when they reach a level where they see that there is no
answer or solution to their research, let them come to a conclusion saying that
life is a miracle and let them praise God. Now this may sound contrary to human
progression after all if it wasn’t for the scientists, inventors, researchers
that studied, researched and broke down barriers of understanding we would have
never reached the level of today. What
Thomas is saying though that now the time has changed and if we spent the same
amount of time perfecting ourselves into being more like Christ, then we would
reach a higher level of progression. The researchers and scientists should
be saying: O Lord, how
manifold are thy works! in wisdom hast thou made them all (Psalms 104:24) and humble themselves.
I
remember an astronaut that dedicated his whole life to becoming an astronaut
and when he returned back from space what did he say? God does exist! This is
what he said. My brothers and sisters for you to live, you need simplicity and
everything will be solved, all mysteries, because everything is a mystery.
One time a person said to someone
who is spiritual, “How will I see God?” he was searching to find God, and the
spiritual person responded, “My child are you blind? Here even the blind can
see Him, have you still not seen Him?” look at the simplicity! Leave dear man
from your small, poor egotistical self
and surely you will see God. God is
everywhere, look at the sea, look at the heavens, look at all around you, there
is nothing more obvious than God but your ego does not see Him! Here God
Himself stood in front of the proud, to the hypocrites, to the Sadducees and to
the Pharisees, and they themselves not only did they not see Him but they
crucified Him. Help us Jesus so that
ego’s bad elements do not grow within us. It is better to have the worst
sickness and to see God than to have the sin of ego which has many ramifications
because with it you don’t see anything.
Despite all this, let us know that
Christians just like all the other nations have many truths but they threw in
the scrap bin the one truth. This is God’s Word - simplicity- which if it looks
dead actually gives life. Christ said, The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. (John
6:63) Why don’t we
listen with simplicity? The Spirit gives life. If
we want to have life, let’s increase in God’s spirit, let us find God’s spirit,
let us not seek for quick decisions, let us look.
Conclusion:
Christians still do not have the
knowledge of Christ’s truth, this is why the world continues as if it is asleep
and each one of us sooner or later will crash. The world proceeds like a boat
in large waves. It can be seen today that in order to find truth which is
applied, you will have to search the whole world and this is obvious because
even the people of the same religion, Christians don’t have love amongst them,
they don’t have righteousness. In other words in order to find a spiritual
person you will have to get in your car to drive, and drive all day and you
will not be able to find one spiritual person. And when you find one, him whom
you were hoping would be one has made you lose hope. We also see in Greece and
in all Christian nations and in all nations regardless of doctrine (or belief),
or race, thousands of cases pending and
found in courts. Yet the most important of all is that all the cases which have
not found themselves in court, we have put them on trial each day by ourselves,
between us. Indeed in most of them we fabricate them ourselves without reason,
by imagination. Do you know that when Christ is missing, we fabricate a lot of
scenarios without there being a reason, by
our own fruition we become judges, lawyers, advocates, prosecutors
constantly. If someone gets to know himself he will see that he spends all his time judging in his mind whatever he
sees or doesn’t see. Every minute there are dozens of situations that are
concerning us, country, God, brother, everything is judged in us and we make
decisions and conclusions that we can possibly solve them. With this
disturbance or agitation, that we experience and live all the time, how is it
possible for us to live? We need
peace, we need to let go and to trust God. Did god place us as judges? Did God
put us as critics? What did God tell us? Follow me . What else did he tell us? Don’t judge. What
else? To love
your neighbour as yourself.
God didn’t put us as judges so we
can correct with our own mind our fellow man. Unfortunately though everyone has
placed within themselves a strict court with prosecutors, judges, witnesses
etc. and in this court there are no mitigating factors or circumstances,
everyone is like a catapult, they all have a strict egoistic, evil conscience,
and they judge everyone, it is rare that they have mercy on anyone. Even the
worldly court system, many times gives you absolution or sets you free, it
tells you “Ok depart” in other words you
are free, yet we let no one be free, ever! Every person makes decisions
every minute. If these decisions were
to be printed, every person would need a box of A4 paper which contains roughly
2000 sheets and if for example we were walking and had upon us a printer that
would print out the contents of our brain we would see the paper that would be
printed leave a trail behind us filled with negative reports and decisions!
Rarely would we see minds printing
out thanksgiving, and love. Rarely do
you hear minds saying, “Glory to God”. Rarely do you hear people saying,
“However God wills it”. Every moment bears witness that Christians in general
don’t live a spiritually holy life but a cosmic, worldly life filled with many
rivalries and conflicts.
Indeed churches don’t even preach
about holiness to the whole population nor do they view the abolishment of sin
as being fundamental because this is what causes death, but they preach about
the other life (life after death) of which when the time comes they don’t want
to go there so they seek for a good doctor, yet the Lord said, the kingdom of God is
within you. (Luke 17:21). Christians have not understood
that between them there should not be any leaders, superiors or inferiors, only
friends, servants, brothers and sisters. All that is happening and much more,
especially within countries and nations, who brought it? It was simply ego.
Unfortunately this ego today has become the world’s pan-religion (or shall we
say the one common religion), and consequently
it has brought the pan-infection to the whole human race because it leads
us to death even though we were designed not to die - we have a beginning but
we don’t have an end - it is for us to
live with God’s word, with His wisdom, incorruptible and immortal, eternally
with God. Unfortunately we don’t listen to God, or maybe we don’t understand
and we build a God to our measure. The
way we want Him to be.
My
brothers and sisters, we must return to our original country (the garden of
eden, paradise) so that the Kingdom of God gets established in us. The kingdom of God is within you. (Luke 17:21). people try hard to break into the kingdom of
heaven. And strong people take hold of it. (Matthew 11:12).
This
is God’s will, “Work first for God's kingdom and what
he calls good. Then you will have all these things also”. (Matthew 6:33).
What does God’s Kingdom mean? It means to reign over the other bad part of
myself, that there may be nothing which will bring me to servitude, to bring me
to a dead end. Here Thomas is stating
that we should be able to rid ourselves over every negative vice that enslaves
us. For example not too long ago, smoking was something most people couldn’t
quit. Even though they knew they had too, even though they knew the negative
health repercussions, most people could not stop themselves from it. It is the
same for any other negative habit, like fear, anger, jealousy, criticism etc.
They all in some form of another enslave us and lead us away from Christ and
when anything leads us away from Christ, it leads us to a dead end.
Now
for someone to succeed in having reign over their bad self, they must acquire
God’s wisdom. To have it continually close to them, to study on a daily basis.
The good has to increase, love has to increase, peace has to increase. All
these have to become neurons in their lives. Someone will ask me, can this
happen? Of course it can, and surely what a person will win when this is done
is priceless, he will win God, life.
We
are all Greek. We Greeks must understand that we have the world’s
responsibility on our shoulders and
this is proven in scripture. First of all, the Word of God was written in the
ancient Greek language. There are a thousand languages and God chose to write
His word in Greek and we despise Him so? If we don’t understand the Bible, so
that we apply it how will others understand? If we don’t understand it, others
will not be able to understand it. Other
people see us Greeks, the way we are and they say “we are better”. Today there
are non-Greeks coming into Greece from other countries, they build churches in
Greece and they preach to the Greeks! How is this possible? What can these
people tell you, if you being a Greek didn’t understand it how is it possible
that they understood? Yet indeed the things which are
impossible with men are possible with God. (Luke 18:27). If there is a
pure and benevolent intent though a
non-Greek can be informed and advised by the holy spirit and be able to preach
the bible better than any Greek. Now you being a Greek shouldn’t you find
Christ? This is our mission as a nation. The obvious consequence of us Greeks
not understanding it, is that everyone else will misunderstand the Gospel of
Christ.
Only
the Spirit of truth will be able to reveal God as He is and this will be done
because Christians must humble themselves. Humility will conform us to God’s
glory and transfuse His attributes to us automatically. “but to this man will I look, even to he who is poor and of a contrite
spirit, and who trembles at my word.
(Isaiah 66:2).
My brothers and sisters, it can be seen
beyond a shadow of a doubt that Christians do not know or recognize God’s Word,
because if you know something, you make it a way of life, since we have not
made it a way of life, it means that we don’t know it, even though we say that
we know it. If it had value to us, we would have it in our lives. If we
understood that to have peace was important, we would have peace. Let’s use an
example, when we see a STOP sign on the road we don’t ignore it, there is a
meaning and an importance to the STOP, we stop because there may be someone
coming with speed and we can get into an accident. Likewise if we saw the value
of God’s word, we would have adopted it. We don’t know the Word and this is the
reason why problems, sicknesses, conflicts and ego exists. Everyone
unfortunately crashes all the time, some without reason and some with reason.
God opened a door in front of us. What is this door? Today millions of entities
(or people) are seeking, researching, creating medication to heal man from
cancer, and from different sicknesses etc.. The Word of God also heals the same
disease and you don’t have to go anywhere or seek anything else. All you have to do is make him a place (inside
you), in your life, your property (like
we say here in North American say, own Him) but for this to happen, you
have to put in the time. Christ Himself said it: But rather seek ye the kingdom of God;
and all these things shall be added unto you.
Luke 12:31. I close this parenthesis and we continue.
The Comforter will not only unite us
with God, but He will also have the power, when the time comes, to judge the
whole world. There are a lot of things that will take place in Greece which
were previously written and predicted. We all know that God’s Word was written
in Greek. In the Book of Revelations, God Himself stated to John that He is the
Alpha and the Omega. These letters are in the Greek alphabet. Let us understand
that the Lord was a Galilean, He may have been born in Galilee, but his parents
and his grandfather may have been Greek. The Lord’s name was Emmanuel, a Greek
name. Before he became the apostle Paul, the disciple’s name was Simon. Christ
in turn named him, Cephas, which in Greek means stone. Christ’s mother’s name
was Mary. In the Bible, the Jews were seeking for a miracle and the Greek’s
seeked for wisdom. The book of Revelations was written in Greece, in Patmos.
God Himself, came to Patmos into a cave and with John they wrote the
Revelations. There are a lot more
examples which show us that we have a deep relationship with God and we
have to follow Him. In the bible there is a passage where God gives the
responsibility to the Greeks to work in bringing God into their lives and
consequently to the rest of the world. The passage is in John 12:20-50 and it
is referred to as follows:
20 Now there were certain Greeks among those that went up to worship at
the feast.
21 These, therefore, came to Philip, who was from Bethsaida of Galilee,
and asked him, saying, “Sir, we want to see Jesus.”
22 Philip came and told Andrew, and in turn, Andrew came with Philip,
and they told Jesus.
23 Jesus answered them, “The time has come for the Son of Man to be
glorified. The Greeks
will glorify God, How? Jesus continues to speak
24 Most certainly I tell you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the
earth and dies, it remains by itself alone. But if it dies, it bears much
fruit.
25 He who loves his life will lose it. He who hates his life in this
world will keep it to eternal life.
All this was written in Greek, the
Lord continues to explain so that we may see what was written in Greek.
26 If anyone serves me, let him follow me. Where I am, there will my
servant also be. If anyone serves me, the Father will honor him.
27 “Now my soul is troubled. What shall I say? ‘Father, save me from
this time?’ But for this cause I came to this time.
28 Father, glorify your name!” Then there came a voice out of the sky,
saying, “I have both glorified it, and will glorify it again.”
29 The multitude therefore, who stood by and heard it, said that it had
thundered. Others said, “An angel has spoken to him.”
30 Jesus answered, “This voice hasn’t come for my sake, but for your
sakes.
31 Now is the judgment of this world. Now the prince of this world will
be cast out.
32 And I, if I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all people to
myself.”
33 But he said this, signifying by what kind of death he should die.
34 The multitude answered him, “We have heard out of the law that the
Christ remains forever. How do you say,
‘The Son of Man must be lifted up?’ Who is this Son of Man?”
35 Jesus therefore said to them, “Yet a little while the light is with
you. Walk while you have the light, that darkness doesn’t overtake you. He who
walks in the darkness doesn’t know where he is going.
36 While you have the light, believe in the light, that you may become
children of light.” Jesus said these things, and he departed and hid himself
from them.
37 But though he had done so many signs before them, yet they didn’t
believe in him,
38 that the word of Isaiah the prophet might be fulfilled, which he
spoke, “Lord, who has believed our
report? To whom has the arm of the Lord
been revealed?”
39 For this cause they couldn’t believe, for Isaiah said again,
40 “He has blinded their eyes and he hardened their heart, lest they should see with their eyes, and
perceive with their heart, and would turn, and I would heal them.”
If we want to have the whole truth,
we must have a completely clean heart. If the heart is a little bit
contaminated, we will have a lesser complete truth.
41 Isaiah said these things when he saw his glory, and spoke of him.
42 Nevertheless even of the rulers many believed in him, but because of
the Pharisees they didn’t confess it, so that they wouldn’t be put out of the
synagogue,
43 for they loved men’s praise more than God’s praise.
44 Jesus cried out and said, “Whoever believes in me, believes not in
me, but in him who sent me.
45 He who sees me sees him who sent me.
46 I have come as a light into the world, that whoever believes in me
may not remain in the darkness.
47 If anyone listens to my sayings, and doesn’t believe, I don’t judge
him. For I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.
48 He who rejects me, and doesn’t receive my sayings, has one who
judges him. The word that I spoke, the same will judge him in the last day.
49 For I spoke not from myself, but the Father who sent me, he gave me
a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak.
50 I know that his commandment is eternal life. The things therefore
which I speak, even as the Father has said to me, so I speak.”
We have God’s law, we don’t have to
adopt the law of sin and get demonized every moment. God’s command is eternal
life.
All of this my brothers and sisters
was written in Greek, for us, for us to understand and this is why we read it
so that ego can leave from us, for simplicity to come in, to feel and live what
is written in God’s Word. Everything can be found in God’s Word and each one
can continually and at every moment take a glimpse or a deep look into
themselves until the Gospel of Christ becomes our antibiotic.
Book of John the Gospels Chapter 13
13 Now before the feast of the Passover, Jesus, knowing that his time
had come that he would depart from this world to the Father, having loved his
own who were in the world, he loved them to the end.
2 During supper, the devil having already put into the heart of Judas
Iscariot, Simon’s son, to betray him,
3 Jesus, knowing that the Father had given all things into his hands,
and that he came from God, and was going to God,
4 arose from supper, and laid aside his outer garments. He took a
towel, and wrapped a towel around his waist.
5 Then he poured water into the basin, and began to wash the
disciples’ feet, and to wipe them with the towel that was wrapped around him.
6 Then he came to Simon Peter. He said to him, “Lord, do you wash my
feet?”
7 Jesus answered him, “You don’t know what I am doing now, but you
will understand later.”
8 Peter said to him, “You will never wash my feet!” Jesus answered
him, “If I don’t wash you, you have no part with me.”
9 Simon Peter said to him, “Lord, not my feet only, but also my hands
and my head!”
10 Jesus said to him, “Someone who has bathed only needs to have his
feet washed, but is completely clean. You are clean, but not all of you.”
11 For he knew him who would betray him, therefore he said, “You are
not all clean.”
12 So when he had washed their feet, put his outer garment back on, and
sat down again, he said to them, “Do you know what I have done to you?
13 You call me, ‘Teacher’ and ‘Lord.’ You say so correctly, for so I
am.
14 If I then, the Lord and the Teacher, have washed your feet, you also
ought to wash one another’s feet.
15 For I have given you an example, that you also should do as I have
done to you.
16 Most certainly I tell you, a servant is not greater than his lord,
neither one who is sent greater than he who sent him.
17 If you know these things, blessed are you if you do them.
18 I don’t speak concerning all of you. I know whom I have chosen. But
that the Scripture may be fulfilled, ‘He who eats bread with me has lifted up
his heel against me.’[a]
19 From now on, I tell you before it happens, that when it happens, you
may believe that I am he.
20 Most certainly I tell you, he who receives whomever I send, receives
me; and he who receives me, receives him who sent me.”
21 When Jesus had said this, he was troubled in spirit, and testified,
“Most certainly I tell you that one of you will betray me.”
22 The disciples looked at one another, perplexed about whom he spoke.
23 One of his disciples, whom Jesus loved, was at the table, leaning
against Jesus’ breast.
24 Simon Peter therefore beckoned to him, and said to him, “Tell us who
it is of whom he speaks.”
25 He, leaning back, as he was, on Jesus’ breast, asked him, “Lord, who
is it?”
26 Jesus therefore answered, “It is he to whom I will give this piece of
bread when I have dipped it.” So when he had dipped the piece of bread, he gave
it to Judas, the son of Simon Iscariot.
27 After the piece of bread, then Satan entered into him. Then Jesus
said to him, “What you do, do quickly.”
28 Now no man at the table knew why he said this to him.
29 For some thought, because Judas had the money box, that Jesus said
to him, “Buy what things we need for the feast,” or that he should give
something to the poor.
30 Therefore having received that morsel, he went out immediately. It
was night.
31 When he had gone out, Jesus said, “Now the Son of Man has been
glorified, and God has been glorified in him.
32 If God has been glorified in him, God will also glorify him in
himself, and he will glorify him immediately.
33 Little children, I will be with you a little while longer. You will
seek me, and as I said to the Jews, ‘Where I am going, you can’t come,’ so now
I tell you.
34 A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another. Just as
I have loved you, you also love one another.
35 By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have
love for one another.”
36 Simon Peter said to him, “Lord, where are you going?” Jesus
answered, “Where I am going, you can’t follow now, but you will follow
afterwards.”
37 Peter said to him, “Lord, why can’t I follow you now? I will lay
down my life for you.”
38 Jesus answered him, “Will you lay down your life for me? Most
certainly I tell you, the rooster won’t crow until you have denied me three
times.
John 14
1“Don’t let your heart be
troubled. Believe in God. Believe also in me.
2 In my Father’s house are many homes. If it weren’t so, I would have
told you. I am going to prepare a place for you. In other words, God’s Kingdom already exists, there are
already homes to welcome us.
3 If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and will
receive you to myself; that where I am, you may be there also.
4 Where I go, you know, and you know the way.” Holiness is the way.
5 Thomas said to him, “Lord, we don’t know where you are going. How
can we know the way?”
6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one
comes to the Father, except through me.
7 If you had known me, you would have known my Father also. From now
on, you know him, and have seen him.”
8 Philip said to him, “Lord, show us the Father, and that will be
enough for us.”
9 Jesus said to him, “Have I been with you such a long time, and do
you not know me, Philip? He who has seen me has seen the Father. How do you
say, ‘Show us the Father?’
10 Don’t you believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? The
words that I tell you, I speak not from myself; but the Father who lives in me
does his works.
11 Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me; or else
believe me for the very works’ sake.
12 Most certainly I tell you, he who believes in me, the works that I
do, he will do also; and he will do greater works than these, because I am
going to my Father.
13 Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father
may be glorified in the Son. 14 If
you will ask anything in my name, I will do it.
15 If you love me, keep my commandments.
Here the world does not even know
God’s commandments how will it be able to keep them. Don’t we have to take care
to learn these commandments so that we can keep them? We must therefore keep
them like the pupil of the eye! (the pupil of the eye is a Greek expression
signifying with utmost vigilance).
16 I will pray to the Father, and he will give you another Counselor,[a] that he may be with you
forever,—
17 the Spirit of truth, whom the world can’t receive; for it doesn’t
see him, neither knows him. You know him, for he lives with you, and will be in
you.
Do you see my brothers and sisters
that the spirit will first come to the people of God, so that they may know It,
when the time comes which is mentioned further on in this passage. In other
words the Spirit of Truth will not be held by just one person but many will
have it. Slowly-slowly as they make the relevant effort and struggle, they will
get to know this spirit and likewise in continuance they will get to know the
Comforter, the One. The fullness of time will come for them to follow Him so
that there is one people, one flock with one shepherd: Christ.
18 I will not leave you orphans. I will come to you.
19 Yet a little while, and the world will see me no more; but you will
see me. Because I live, you will live also.
The world cannot see God because it
has within it the evil spirit. The people of God though will begin to see Him.
In the beginning they may not see Him clearly, there may be clouds just like
the sun when conditions are cloudy, you don’t see it but you await from moment
to moment for the wind to blow and push away the clouds so you may see Him
clearly. Look continually upwards with positive attitude.
20 In that day you will know that I am in my Father, and you in me, and
I in you.
21 One who has my commandments, and keeps them, that person is one who
loves me. One who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him, and
will reveal myself to him.”
22 Judas (not Iscariot) said to him, “Lord, what has happened that you
are about to reveal yourself to us, and not to the world?”
23 Jesus answered him, “If a man loves me, he will keep my word. My
Father will love him, and we will come to him, and make our home with him.
24 He who doesn’t love me doesn’t keep my words. The word which you
hear isn’t mine, but the Father’s who sent me.
25 I have said these things to you, while still living with you.
26 But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my
name, he will teach you all things, and will remind you of all that I said to
you.
27 Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you; not as the world
gives, give I to you. Don’t let your heart be troubled, neither let it be
fearful.
28 You heard how I told you, ‘I go away, and I come to you.’ If you
loved me, you would have rejoiced, because I said ‘I am going to my Father;’
for the Father is greater than I.
29 Now I have told you before it happens so that, when it happens, you
may believe.
30 I will no more speak much with you, for the prince of the world
comes, and he has nothing in me.
31 But that the world may know that I love the Father, and as the
Father commanded me, even so I do. Arise, let us go from here.
Book of John 15
15 “I am the true vine, and my Father is the farmer.
2 Every branch in me that doesn’t bear fruit, he takes away. Every
branch that bears fruit, he prunes, that it may bear more fruit.
3 You are already pruned clean because of the word which I have spoken
to you.
4 Remain in me, and I in you. As the branch can’t bear fruit by
itself, unless it remains in the vine, so neither can you, unless you remain in
me.
5 I am the vine. You are the branches. He who remains in me, and I in
him, the same bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.
6 If a man doesn’t remain in me, he is thrown out as a branch, and is
withered; and they gather them, throw them into the fire, and they are burned.
7 If you remain in me, and my words remain in you, you will ask whatever
you desire, and it will be done for you.
8 “In this is my Father glorified, that you bear much fruit; and so
you will be my disciples.
9 Even as the Father has loved me, I also have loved you. Remain in my
love.
10 If you keep my commandments, you will remain in my love; even as I
have kept my Father’s commandments, and remain in his love.
God does not sign a contract with
anyone and to no one does He say, “It is done, you are with me”. If a person
keeps His commandments then he remains and is close to Him. In other words it is not a one time deal
where you sign and it is done. You must always be within His commandments.
11 I have spoken these things to you, that my joy may remain in you,
and that your joy may be made full.
12 “This is my commandment, that you love one another, even as I have
loved you.
13 Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life
for his friends.
14 You are my friends, if you do whatever I command you.
15 No longer do I call you servants, for the servant doesn’t know what
his lord does. But I have called you friends, for everything that I heard from
my Father, I have made known to you.
Do you see how God makes us His
close friends? By revealing to us His mind, His wisdom, His wants. By knowing
Him, this is how we become His close friends.
16 You didn’t choose me, but I chose you, and appointed you, that you
should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain; that whatever you
will ask of the Father in my name, he may give it to you.
17 “I command these things to you, that you may love one another.
These words hit our brain, they are
like nails that are driven hard into our head and give life to our body, our
brain. They give us worth. When does man have worth? When he has money or when
he has love or when he gets angry? The person who has love, is slowly-slowly
respected and acknowledged by all. God bows down to him who is humble, and who
shows love. There are those who act like roosters day and night full of ego,
acting like they know it all, acting like the shepherds etc. My child don’t you
know about humility? Did God put you to solve humanity’s problem? Do your
spiritual homework with love and don’t make yourself appear superior because in
a moment (in the twinkling of an eye) the fall comes. Before the fall, the Word
of God states, ego comes. First a person acts all high and mighty and then he
falls.
18 If the world hates you, you know that it has hated me before it
hated you.
19 If you were of the world, the world would love its own. But because
you are not of the world, since I chose you out of the world, therefore the
world hates you.
20 Remember the word that I said to you: ‘A servant is not greater than
his lord.’[a] If they persecuted me,
they will also persecute you. If they kept my word, they will keep yours also.
21 But all these things will they do to you for my name’s sake, because
they don’t know him who sent me.
22 If I had not come and spoken to them, they would not have had sin;
but now they have no excuse for their sin.
23 He who hates me, hates my Father also.
24 If I hadn’t done among them the works which no one else did, they
wouldn’t have had sin. But now have they seen and also hated both me and my
Father.
25 But this happened so that the word may be fulfilled which was
written in their law, ‘They hated me without a cause.’[b]
26 “When the Counselor[c] has come, whom I will
send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth, who proceeds from the Father,
he will testify about me.
27 You will also testify, because you have been with me from the
beginning.
Book of John, Chapter 17
17 Jesus said these things, and lifting up his eyes to heaven, he said,
“Father, the time has come. Glorify your Son, that your Son may also glorify
you;
2 even as you gave him authority over all flesh, he will give eternal
life to all whom you have given him.
3 This is eternal life, that they should know you, the only true God,
and him whom you sent, Jesus Christ.
4 I glorified you on the earth. I have accomplished the work which you
have given me to do.
He didn’t manage to finish all the
work but he was decided that he would finish! Likewise with us, when God sees
our decision, the blessings will come running quicker, before we even get a
chance to do what He told us, because God knows that we are decided in what we
will do.
My brothers and sisters, all this
has been written in the Greek language. Should these writings not be in our
lives day and night? What do we seek from the world? What do we want to
experience and live? In other words, those around us who have lived what we are
seeking to live are they happy? Is it not time that we make an exception and
become what God is asking of us?
5 Now,
Father, glorify me with your own self with the glory which I had with you
before the world existed.
6 I revealed your name to the people whom you have given me out of the
world. They were yours, and you have given them to me. They have kept your
word.
7 Now they have known that all things whatever you have given me are
from you,
8 for the words which you have given me I have given to them, and they
received them, and knew for sure that I came from you, and they have believed
that you sent me.
9 I
pray for them. I don’t pray for the world, but for those whom you have given
me, for they are yours.
10 All things that are mine are yours, and yours are mine, and I am
glorified in them.
11 I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I am
coming to you. Holy Father, keep them through your name which you have given
me, that they may be one, even as we are.
12 While I was with them in the world, I kept them in your name. Those
whom you have given me I have kept. None of them is lost, except the son of
destruction, that the Scripture might be fulfilled.
13 But now I come to you, and I say these things in the world, that
they may have my joy made full in themselves.
14 I have given them your word. The world hated them, because they are
not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
15 I pray not that you would take them from the world, but that you
would keep them from the evil one.
16 They are not of the world even as I am not of the world.
18 As you sent me into the world, even so I have sent them into the
world.
19 For their sakes I sanctify myself, that they themselves also may be
sanctified in truth.
20 Not for these only do I pray, but for those also who believe in me
through their word,
“Those also who believe”, is all of us. We belong to this
blessing, blessed are those who do not see but believe. What is it then that
obstructs (blocks) us then from understanding all this wisdom, from putting it
in our lives and to take a position of responsibility within Creation, in front
of ourselves, in front of God, in front of the world, so that we are employed
as elected vessels for God’s glory and the world’s salvation? What greater
thing can God give us? This is why He called us to become elected vessels, so
that we may become love.
21 that they may all be one; even as you, Father, are in me, and I in
you, that they also may be one in us; that the world may believe that you sent
me.
22 The glory which you have given me, I have given to them; that they
may be one, even as we are one;
23 I in them, and you in me, that they may be perfected into one; that
the world may know that you sent me, and loved them, even as you loved me.
24 Father, I desire that they also whom you have given me be with me
where I am, that they may see my glory, which you have given me, for you loved
me before the foundation of the world.
25 Righteous Father, the world hasn’t known you, but I knew you; and
these knew that you sent me.
26 I made known to them your name, and will make it known; that the
love with which you loved me may be in them, and I in them.”
My brothers and sisters, when God
enters in us through the Word, He will help us escape from the evil ego’s all
encompassing sin. When Ego departs, the infection that causes confusion in our
brain also leaves. When confusion leaves, peace comes, righteousness comes,
love comes, simplicity comes, God comes. My brothers and sisters when ego
leaves, the whole constitution of our unnatural life which was imposed upon us
by the laws of sin, the spirits of apostasy, that caused everyone to desert the
truth and life will also leave. The Lord overthrew the influence of these
spirits on our lives with the simplicity
of the Word as well as its implementation. This means that we can do this also.
We must base ourselves on the Word of God. In the Word of God, we will find the
existence to the keys of our lives, the keys that will heal our lives, the keys
that will give life to our lives, the keys which will cause us to be inheritors
and co inheritors of the built (and existing) as well as the unbuilt (future)
worlds conforming to God’s glory. In the Word of God (Matthew 5) we see some of
these keys:
Blessed are the poor in
spirit, since they accept that they are poor
in spirit and as such study each day in their sanctuary, they don’t have time
to lose.
Blessed are those who mourn, those
who saw the sin living within them. They saw within them the other law that the
apostle Paul speaks of and they mourn. They don’t have time to lose. You cannot
leave the Devil alone without having the spiritual weapons to fight him, the time will come and he will attack you. These
people therefore who mourn will cease to mourn because they will get to know
God’s wisdom, and God’s mercy which will completely embrace them and they will
embrace all of Creation and God.
Blessed are the pure in heart, those
who are pure in heart are all those who do not see faults or mistakes. For them
everything works for the pure and holy.
Blessed are you when people reproach you, persecute you,
and say all kinds of evil against you falsely, for my sake. For
the people of God, it is only natural and eventual that they get persecuted and
the reason why is because the person of this world serves the lie, yet the
people of God serve the truth. It is just a natural consequence that those who
serve the lie will fight against those who serve the truth. It does not matter
though, defeat the bad with the good. If
we slowly-slowly put this into our lives, then we will live. If we don’t put it
in our lives and we ignore it or disregard it, then slowly slowly we will see
that the foot will not have enough strength to keep us standing, the hand will
start trembling, the eye will not be able to see, the tooth will fall out and
everything will start breaking down and death will come. It is written, each man’s work will be revealed. For the Day will declare
it, because it is revealed in fire; and the fire itself will test what sort of
work each man’s work is. (1st Corinthians, 3:13). This is why we
should not build a home on sand, or on grass, or on hypocrisy, or on the lie,
but build the house on the rock, on the truth, in Christ. May it be, May it be,
amen
