JESUS AS MESSAIAH - ABOUT THE IDOLS

JESUS AS MESSAIAH

     ISAIAH CHAPTER 53

          VERSE, 1, 2, 3, 4

1) Who has believed our message and to whom has the arm of the LORD been revealed?

2) He grew up before him like a tender shoot, and like a root out of dry ground. He had no beauty or majesty to attract us to him, nothing in his appearance that we should desire him.

3) He was despised and rejected by mankind, a man of suffering, and familiar with pain. Like one from whom people hide their faces he was despised, and he held him in low esteem.

4) Surly he took up our pain and bore our suffering, yet we considered him punished by God, stricken by him, and afflicted.

                          JOHN CHAPTER 8

                          VERSE, 57, 58, 59

57) “You are not yet fifty years old,” they said to him, “and you have seen Abraham!”

58) “Very truly I tell you.” Jesus answered, “Before Abraham was born, I am!

59) At this, they picked up stones to stone him, but Jesus hid himself, slipping away from the temple grounds.

                PROVERBS CHAPTER 8

          VERSE, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28

22) The LORD brought me forth as the first of his works, before his deeds of old.

23) I was formed long ages ago, at the very beginning, when the world came to be.

24) When there were no watery depths, I was given birth, when there were no springs overflowing with water;

25) Before the mountains were settled in place, before the hills, I was given birth.

26) Before he made the world or its fields or any of the dust of the earth.

27) I was there when he set the heavens in place, when he marked out the horizon on the face of the deep.

28) When he established the clouds above and fixed securely the fountains of the deep.

                    JOHN CHAPTER 3

                       VERSE, 2, 3, 4

2)...For no one could perform the signs you are doing if God were not with him.

3) Jesus replied. “Very truly I tell you, no one can see the Kingdom of God unless they are born again.”

4) “How can someone be born when they are old? Nicodemus asked. “Surely they cannot enter a second time into their mother’s womb to be born!”

                1 TIMOTHY CHAPTER 2

                        VERSE, 3, 4, 5

3) This is good, and pleases God our savior,

4) Who wants all people to be saved and to come to knowledge of the truth?

5) For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus.

                       ACTS CHAPTER 4

                         VERSE, 11, 12

11) Jesus is “the stone you builders rejected, which has become the cornerstone.”

12) Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.

                       ACTS CHAPTER 17

                          VERSE, 22, 23, 30, 31

22) Paul then stood up in the meeting of the Areopagus and said: “People of Athens! I see that in every way you are very religious.

23) For as I walked around and looked carefully at your objects of worship, I even found an altar with this inscription: TO AN UNKNOWN GOD So you are ignorant of the very thing you worship—and this is what I am going to proclaim to you.

30) In the past God overlooked such ignorance, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent.

31) For he has set a day when he will judge the world with justice by the man he has appointed. He has given proof of this to everyone by raising him from the dead.

                   HEBREWS CHAPTER 2

                       VERSE, 5, 6, 7, 8

5) It is not to angels that he has subjected the world to come, about which we are speaking.

6) But there is a place where someone has testified: “What is mankind that you are mindful of them, a son of man that you care for him?

7) You made them a little lower than the angels; you crowned them with glory and honor

8) And put everything under their feet. In putting everything under them, God left nothing that is not subject to them.

                  PHILIPPIANS CHAPTER 2

                        VERSE, 9, 10, 11

9) Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name.

10) That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth,

11) And every tongue acknowledges that Jesus Christ is Lord. To the glory of God the Father.

              1 THESSALON CHAPTER 4

                      VERSE, 16, 17, 18

16) For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first.

17) After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever.

18) Therefore encourage one another with these words.

                   HEBREWS CHAPTER 13

                            VERSE, 8, 9

8) Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.

9) Do not be carried away by all kinds of strange teaching. It is good for our hearts to be strengthened by grace, not by eating ceremonial foods, which is of no benefit to those who do so.

                        JOHN CHAPTER 5

                     VERSE, 19, 20, 21, 22

19) Jesus gave them this answer: “Very truly I tell you, the Son can do nothing by himself; he can do only what he sees his Father doing, because whatever the Father does the Son also does.

20) For the Father loves the Son and shows him all he does. Yes, and he will show him even greater works than these, so that you will be amazed.

21) For just as the Father raises the dead and gives them life, even so the Son gives life to whom he is pleased to give it.

22) Moreover, The Father judges no one, but has entrusted all judgment to the Son.

                  REVELATION CHAPTER 5

                            VERSE, 11, 12

11) Then I looked and heard the voice of many angels, numbering thousands upon thousands, and ten thousand times ten thousand. They encircled the throne and the living creatures and the elders.

12) In a loud voice they were saying: “Worthy is the lamb, who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and praise!

                        1 JOHN CHAPTER 2

                             VERSE, 22, 23

22) Who is the liar? It is whoever denies that Jesus is the Christ. Such a person is the antichrist—denying the Father and the Son.

23) No one who denies the Son has the Father; whoever acknowledges the Son has the Father also.

                  1 CORINTHIANS CHAPTER 11

                                    VERSE 3

3) But I want you to realize that the head of every man is Christ, and the head of the woman is man, and the head of Christ is God.

                    MATTHEW CHAPTER 28

                          VERSE, 18, 19, 20

18) Then Jesus came to them and said, all authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.

19) Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.

20) And teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

                      2 JOHN CHAPTER 1

                               VERSE 9

9) Anyone who runs ahead and does not continue in the teaching of Christ does not have God; whoever continues in the teaching has both the Father and the Son.

              1 CORINTHIANS CHAPTER 16

                         VERSE, 21, 22, 23

21) I, Paul, write this greeting in my own hand.

22) If anyone does not love the Lord, let that person be cursed! Come, Lord!

23) The grace of the Lord Jesus be with you.

18) Or like any creature that moves along the ground or any fish in the waters below.
